Arrow Villa Erba - Hollywood comes to Lake Como...

By now you all have seen some pictures of this year's Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2018. I was happy to say I was able to attend this years show again. This makes it my fifth year running that I have had the pleasure of attending.

While most of the action on Saturday is down the street at Villa d’Este, down the street at Villa Erba is a more lower key event. This year BMW Group had a Hollywood theme... and some of the cars were quite amazing. Mr Bean's 16 cylinder Rolls along side of his beloved Mini Cooper! Also quite a few BMW's from various action films like Mission Impossible and Jame's Bond films.

Here is a look at the cars shown at Villa Erba center. I thought the stunt bike was pretty cool of a engineering project to make the MI star look good riding. And of course who doesn't want to drive Mr Bean's couch sofa!! But for me it was Mr. Bean's 16 cylinder one off Rolls that stole the show.

Enjoy,
Dackel

Why are the controls on top of the M3 facing the back?

This is sweet, cool to see the behind the scenes prop cars, especially that rig on the S1k.

The final shot of the M3 scene it was driving in reverse, so if I had to wager a guess that's why.

Having driven my M4 in Como, I am assuming most of those beat up cars are just from driving in Como?

I heard driving in the area is a clusterfack...like driving in Times Square if it was located in downtown Kabul.

FAKE NEWS: that z8 is supposed to be SPLIT IN HALF!!!

and boy did the Johnny English crew do everything in their power to scratch / swirl mark up the RR's grille.

But really cool to see the superbike's rig, wonder how it was to be TC on the back of that haha!

Yeah. But it isn't that bad. Besides there are many nice alpine roads like Splügen Pass near by. I would definitely recommend a drive.
