SHES THE MAN! & V FOR VENDETTA
has anyone gone to see this movie yet? my friend and i went to go see it because i didnt want to see "hills have eyes" because i was scared. haha. but anyway this movie was actually really good. i laughed like the whole time. but then again, i laugh at everything.
I have 2 words that pretty much make the movie a must see movie: CHANNING TATON moving along.. has anyone seen "v for vendetta" ?? i went into the movie not knowing what it was about, except that all my friends were excited to see it. i didnt really liek it at first but as it got deeper into the movie, i reallyyy liked it. i personally hate social studies/governemnt/econ/history type things, but this movie was pretty awesome. i likedd it. |

i went to see it at the IMAX. i must say that as much as i love natalie portman, her british accept wasn't that good at all.
as for the movie though, i thought it was VERY well done! i love the wachowsky brothers movies and this one definitely didn't disappoint. the movie is getting some unpleasant reviews mainly attacking blown up buildings and terrorism expressed in the story. however, i think that issue gets explained throughout the movie several times. i thought hugo weaving excelled in this role. he was exactly what i think writers intended him to be. his british accept wasn't that impressive either but much better than that of natalie portman's. camera work was going the right direction, idea-wise, but editing ruined it all. i would fault the director for this as he should have seen all those mistakes and unfinished thoughts and correct them. overall, however, the movie was very powerful with excellent musical score and mostly very good writing. i'd give it 8/10, which i think what it's getting anyway.

I saw V for Vendetta on IMAX as well, I saw it at the Metreon in San Francisco. (Largest screen in N. America)
It was sick as hell. V for Vendetta is the best film I've seen in a long time. I thoroughly loved it.

I dunno what genre it fits in. I'm not the one to ask about movie genres though. I just watch the movies and enjoy them. I can tell you if I liked it or not and what about it I liked but you'd be better off reading a serious movie critics review if you want a detailed critique.
