Need a new phone..im an idiot
I had a bottle of water inside my bag at school and it opened up and ruined my phone .I currently have the LG 6100 from verizon. I am due for an upgrade anyway. Which i believe is $100 off any phone. Or free if its less than $100. I am planning to go tomorrow.. Should i go to verizon or does anyone have the hookup. Whats a good phone to get, i text alot, and it must be with verizon. I dont have bluetooth in the car, so but itd be nice to have, so im flexible on that. Thanks! Need to know asap.
Edit: I could actually go outside verizon since my 2 yr is up. Do you recommend anoher carrier besides them?

I think i need to stay with verizon cause of the discount towards a new phone .Whereas if i switched, i gotta buy the phone flat out with a contract. So if a phone at verizon is $199, i get $50 mail in rebate, and $100 off. If i go to tmobile, they phone is $149 with a contract

Contact you NY/NJ buddies...ask which carrier has good coverage there....since you will be relocating. Would suck if you go sign up with a carrier that is terrible in your new area.
I have Cingular..never had any issues. Had great coverage when I lived in Boston, and coverage is still awesome here in LA. Good luck!

if your coming to NY/NJ for school you get pretty good coverage with every carrier.
nextel is the only one that's iffy, but I'm sure it's improved some since sprint took over. i have found verizon to be the best imo. |

Cingular is pretty good at NY/NJ. I get full reception everywhere..I was getting no reception in my town with Verizon so I switched..Plus GSM phones are better nowadays IMO
You can signup with Cingular and get a nice phone for 100-150 with contract (depends on the deal) You can also get a cheap phone for like 20-50 bucks if you wish. I'm sure you still have to spend the same money on a Verizon phone because they usually take off 100 from the retail price which is usually 300+ for good phones.

Where you're moving, signal won't be a problem. Verizon has the best reputation for coverage, but I've been with T-Mobile for a couple of years now...you get more minutes with them than any other carrier for the money. :rocks: Coverage has never been an issue either. As for the phone, I'm still using the Motorola Razr, which I guess is getting a little long in the tooth, but is darn fine phone...love the form factor. I believe they make a version for every carrier. |

I got Tmo just recently and it's great. I got the phone from one of the sponsors on E46fanatics. Great deal too. PM me if you need more info.

if you text message alot and are debating between TMO and Verizon, id go for TMO, i have the sidekick II and its great, you can find some good deals online, for instance i got my for free with 2 year contract agreement. You pay $100 for the phone and after like 2 billing cycles you get the 100 back. so a $400 for 100 bucks is a good deal IMO

T MOBILE BLOWS in the NJ/NY area....TRUST me on that...
Verizon is the best service you could get out here (and this is coming from a longtime cingular GSM user). Also, with New Every Two, you can get the Razr for free. Sounds like a no brainer to me... |

EDIT: n/m I checked - only valid for phones valued at a maximum of $100...if you want a more expensive phone they'll credit you back $100. Nothing fancy but I guess that's ok.
