i swear i see it all the time. mercedes drivers LOVE to put ///AMG on their cars. some change the other badge to AMG badge like from E500 to E55 or E63, but some dont. they attach a tip to their exhaust for the ghettoest looking tips ever.

i thought about making a thread after following a non-AMG brand new S class that said ///AMG on trunk and said S55. im like u dumbass even i know it's S63 not S55 for this model

does anyone know why mercedes drivers have small penises that they have to do this? (ur welcome to discuss the 335 -> M3 conversions that are becoming popular here)

Even worse than someone putting an AMG badge on a car is someone else worrying about it too much.

It is no different than adding custom wheels, pedals, floor mats, etc. Chill people.

After all, an M badge just means motosport. Equivalent to racing stickers you see in side windows. No big deal.

When someone puts a DINAN badge on the back does the whole car have to be DINAN or just at least one component?

BMW puts the M badge on several parts even though the car may not be an M3/5/6.

you can get a sport package which adds the sport wheels and exaust tips then its an AMG..or go on ebay and buy the badge

naw dude, my family has always owned all sort of merc's. sport will give u the AMG package which comes with the body kit or sport kit but never the ///AMG... idk it's stupid IMHO very cholo-ish of people who spend 80k-140k on cars

MB/AMG owner penis size? Who knows? The standard C230 or whatever MB I rented from Enterprise had AMG exhaust tips. I think they come standard that way. As for adding the AMG on the trunk, it's the same reason why people buy synthetic diamonds. You get the look for a fraction of the price. I prefer real diamonds (I don't own any), but it wouldn't bother me if someone decided to wear fake ones.

As for the 335 to M3 conversion, that doesn't bother me either. Imitation is flattery, and it just shows that the M3 look is nice and appealing! I haven't seen anyone in this forum with the M3 badge and on a non-M3. I know you have a M3, you lucky guy, so I'm not directing this to you, but I suspect a lot of M3 owners feel that a "lower car" masquerading as a M3 wouldn't live up to the task of representing the true "marque." As enthusiasts, M3 owners spend a good portion of their money for the ultimate driving machine. Others who own M3s won't admit they do this for ego satisfaction; they feel elite, special, and are offended by those who pay $20K less, yet drive something that looks the same. Either way, it comes back to a question of penis size.

What should matter to the owner is his/her own car. Too much time is invested in comparing and worrying about what others drive.

wow i see it all the time, mostly on like fob's cars...every mercedes we've had has been sport package and even then we dont stick the AMG badge on there, lol...w/e man, it makes some ppl feel important...

It might also be a dealer thing, where certain dealers might put the badge on the AMG styled ones (AMG wheels, etc.) to raise appeal among the idiots who think they're buying an AMG

You can order an AMG appearance package which adds the AMG lettering on the trunk. I like that you can order this package, which is similar in comparison to BMW's M-Sport package, but I think it's ridiculous that it includes a badge that shouldn't go on non-AMGs.

The AMG pack usually comes with:
1. full body kit (the new ones AMG designed them in such a way that they look different from the real AMG models, at least for the front bumper)\
2. sport suspensiosn
3. sport rear mufflers

It doesn't give you AMG seats.

As far as the W203 C-class and C209 CLK coupe go, MBUSA made a decision to put the AMG kit on all the later model years (W203 = all sports pkg vehicles, W209 = all CLK500 and optional on CLK350).

Because sometimes the dealers really do put on a badge for you. Other times people feel that since their cars look like an AMG, might as well as fool the ignorant who can't tell the difference and can brag away...

MB is offering the AMG package on the new s ,clk and e classes...basically its all the looks but none of the grunt. MB puts the badge on
