A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

The rear spoiler is stupid looking, but otherwise, why not? With how many full size pickups I see on the road (even though no one EVER uses the bed for cargo.. so lame), BMW would be foolish to NOT come in and take some of that market share. These trucks are expensive too, so BMW's pricing likely wouldn't be too far out of line. If they can make a pickup truck ride smoothly and give it 2-axle air suspension to increase payload/towing capacity, it would likely be luxurious to drive and offer some real utility as well. Again, why not if it will increase profits for BMW and give them more funding for better, more enthusiast-oriented projects?
