how to rip cds?
err once again i have another computer question I'm trying to make a mp3 cd from songs on my itunes but i guess some of my songs are from actual cds so it won't burn them...so my question is how does one convert these into mp3 files? i found one program but it requires you to have the cd on hand which i don't have for most of them so does anyone know how to convert my itune files into mp3s?

itunes can rip your CD for you. just put the CD in your drive, then when it shows up on itunes, I believe you click on "import CD" or something like that (too lazy to check now lol sorry).
edit: sorry, just reread your post and realized you dont have the actual CDs

What format at the songs... that can't be converted to the CD. I've never heard of itunes holding or storing songs in a format that were on CD and then being able to play them. Usually I believe CDs use an .mp3 format.
Report back with the .format usually at the end of the song following the dot (.) ... and report back. I'll then try to analyze this problem.... And point you in the right direction. Sometimes if you are downloading files from torrent sites or limewire (p2p) you may click songs that are .mpg or .wmv and usually any burning program won't burn them since they aren't readable by the player. Hope this helps.. |
