What is this camoed bimmer?

I just saw two heavily camoed bimmers. One was the X6 so I figured it was the M-version. The other one looked like a camoed 128. Could it be a M version of the 1-series convertible?? Sorry for the crappy pics, hard to take pics with one hand while driving...

i don't think it'd be a 1 series, the 1 just came out this year!

Looks like an x6 and maybe a facelifted z4. Just guessing. It is in beverly hills. Looks like the first pic is on santa monica blvd. near the police dept., and the second on wilshire and santa monica. I see camoed cars like once a week driving around and always try to guess what they are. I saw the x6 over a year ago when it was camoed and in the freeway.

Yeap, that's where it was. They always use the same roads, from Melrose going east onto Santa Monica Blvd, all the way to Santa Monica. I've seen M3 and 135 mules going that same route.

Because it had the same license plate as other test mules I've seen before. I even recognized the driver and it was with an X6. The taillight kind of looked like a Z4 with rounded edges but the body looks more like a 1 series(soft top, 135 wheels but 128 exhaust). Probably Tii. Will try to take better pics next time~

It is definitely a 135 vert. I saw this same caravan last week on the 118 merging onto the 23 south in Moorpark. I didn't have the chance to get a pic, but did float near him to check out all angles.

Between the interior and the body panels (that I could see) it looked like a stock 135. Exhaust and rear valence were factory 135 as well. I had no idea what they could be hiding or testing, just trying to help fill in the blanks.

I even contacted a few BMW sources I have and they were not able to shed any light for me.

Wow... Dealer plate 15776 is far away from its home in Newbury Park. Looks like they are on Santa Monica Blvd.

Great that you were able to catch it.

Definitely looks like a 1... so it must have some changes coming.

yea i agree, but M3 is ALREADY getting a facelift, which is VERY disapointing in everyway, and they are making it look UGLIER, i don't get hows that a FACE lift.
