Even the M Vision Next has better grills than the 4 series concept

For as much actual information as has been provided, and without coloring it with too much tribalism and/or pre-suppostion:
I like it! (Except the orange color - but that's easily remedied if need be...)

Aside from the fact that the 4 Series continues to get larger and larger - (hard to tell from photos but I bet it's within an inch or two of the 8 series) it actually looks pretty good. EXCEPT FOR THAT GRILLE.
It's like waking up the next morning and that hot body lying next to you who you don't remember the name of rolls over and you see the face BAM! YIKES! Sorry, gotta go, early morning at the office, dog ate my homework, need to wash my hair! That is truly the worst front-end of a car since I don't know when. Take the grille from the M Vision and put it on the new 4 series and we may have something. Someone with skills should render that. |

What is wrong with the BMW styling department ? Did they recently have a major plant ventilation malfunction which resulted in welding booth fumes being accidentally vented into the body design offices ?

Hard times for BMW design.
It's hard to see them compete in styling with merc or even audi. Bold design does not mean aesthetically good. I call most new designs from BMW as total lack of inspiration and taste. The bold exterior is.... mostly crap yet inside nothing exciting except the gear knob....well most of them lost also driving pleasure so.... better to look in the past for a good BMW. |

I think if you look past the neon 2 tone paint, it could be a good looking car... that carbon work is quite stunning to look at... almost like Crye Precision Multicam Black.
Some of the design features are actually cool and others are gimmicky... overall I think the paint choice is not flattering and what is bringing it down the most... if I wanted safety vest orange, I would have stolen a CalTrans truck |

Well yes, that newfangled styling dreck BMW has been showcasing as of late could be explained by Tesla saboteurs infiltrating the BMW design organisation, as it is hard to believe that all of the sudden BMW would start hiring incompetent kranks en masse. There seems to be a sinister purpose to all of that. Good bye BMW, hello MB AMG.

Have a look back on past concept cars and you will see many strange ones.
I guess this is one of those who will not be realized. Specs and philosophy are very nebulous. This is probably due to the ongoing discussions regarding future specs of Motorsports series like DTM. The old guys like Gerhard Berger vote for Hybrid, the young like Nico Rossberg for pure E. |
