I did a DIY ceramic coat for my wheels. It won't prevent brake dust from sticking but it does make it easier to clean. The majority of the dirt does come off when I do the initial power wash rinse off. To get it perfect, you still need to get in there with a brush. Overall, I would say it was worth the investment.

Ceramic coat everything! I had our in house detailers ceramic all of my powder coated suspension parts and subframes on my restoration project while they were disassembled before going in the car. Do your calipers too while you're at it. Some are better for high temp areas so make sure you get the correct one.

Highly recommend... as mentioned, get the calipers and wheels done. Most brands offer a specific ceramic coating for wheels.
They still get dirty, but a power washer knocks most of the dust off. |

My detailer coated my wheels and calipers with Modesta's BC-06 (http://www.modesta.co/bc-06-heat-res...-and-body.html). Honestly, I don't really see that much of an improvement from non-coated. I hit the wheels with a pressure washer, but it still requires hand washing to get the brake dust off. My F10 was coated with TAC Systems UHS and the results were the same. Seems to me the only way to really keep brake dust build up is to go with ceramic brakes.
