well the local big school is back in sess - I just saw an ISF

Paper license plates and looked like a young blond driving. Amazing what daddy will buy these HS grads now days. :/

Time to see how speedy these things are.

they are quick. quick as hell. i had a black one pull up next to me on the freeway last night and it was neck and neck and i was really pushing the car hard. i had to back off eventually because it was my exit, and we were runnin' 130. oops. . . .

If you are tuned with PROcede v3 or JB3, you should beat an IS-F. A Dinan 335i has a bit less power than these other tuned 335i's, especially in the upper end. If you are stock, the IS-F will win.

Just an observation from someone who went to a "Big State School". Who says the driver wasn't a 22/23 year old senior? I realize that doesn't make it much better, but there are several instances where a younger individual can pay for such a car...say where they got a full ride to school, have a job and no other financial requirements, or even military service?

mebbe its the tuition pops saved (big state school vs. expensive private school for dumb princess types) that went into the IS-F...

Just went to the Lexus dealer to see one up close. Im gonna have to say I really liked it. 416hp and 371lb isnt too shabby for out of the box. If youre looking for a car that is bulletproof and runs like a bat out of hell without mods, its a great car to look at. It really isnt that ugly either.

And there are a lot of college students working part time/full time in sales. And I heard plenty of stories when in college of kids working part time making 40K-60K a year. And if they're parents were paying for everything else....buying a nice car makes sense.

I just took delivery of a 2008 Lexus ISF. Starfire Pearl with black interior. The car in regular auto matic mode is soo smooth and quiet like a lexus is. However put it in F mode with the paddles and it wakes up like an animal.

Compared to my Dinan tuned 335i the ISF sounds like a monters and pulls HARD... The 335i is smooth and very fast, but the ISF is faster.

The car in pictures do not do it justice. You def have to see on in person to really appreciate it.

I stil have not brought her above 4800 rpms. The noise she makes is so addictive!!

Its not very likely. These girls that attend here are well funded and just a short drive from a big money town. I will grant you Im making a stereotypical assessment, BUT, theres lots of sorority types here and they fall into that category. I bet I could drive down sorority row and find the car.

Ah, in this community theres not a lot (100 miles further west maybe). They work in the various restaurants and such.

I've seen the IS-F in person quite a few times now, it does really look much better in person.

Got any pics?

my student i tutor, he got a blue IS-F on his 17th birthday. It was 68 grand out the door. Then again his dad is worth 650 million or so. Sad thing is, the kid drives like below 30, super slow, and will never use that car to its potential. Its so sad. And is swear when my friend and i told him to rev it, he didnt know how........and took it to like 3000 rpm.....facepalm!!! My friend asked him why he didnt just get an IS350 or even a 250. He replied......"for the looks". The subtle looks! So basically he paid an extra 20+ grand for "looks".

Makes sense? I don't know about that... I could buy a new M3 if I didn't own a home, and rented instead. I don't think wasting all of your money on a car really makes sense though...

I could care less though. If these students have rich parents, good for them! I surely would never turn down a 60k - 70k car.

I didn't mean it that way it that way. I meant figuratively speaking it makes sense. Not literally.
