F1 2019: Abu Dhabi GP - Yas Marina (Dec 1)

last race of the year...
after next weekend, it ll be long, cold winter without F1 around for quite some time..
its good to see some night Formula 1 action here..

after seeing Hondas results, i guess Alonso might have felt some regret though.. it was his last race a year ago, for good or not we ll see..

Alonso was in a hurry and just couldn't wait chasing after other things which were on the table then, though for sure he's got the Honda F1 engines' stellar progress on his mind. Would love to see him back but I think he's done his time in F1 and too late for him now.

I’d love to see another Vettel LeClerc confrontation this weekend. May be the only excitement to be had.

I wouldn't be surprised.

With Vettel seemingly incapable to accept he can make a mistake, I can't see him changing his driving style, ever. Very reminiscent of another German driver a few years ago....

There's more chance of the Titanic rising. After their session in front of the board at Maranello I gather we'll see a more mature pairing.

The bosses in Maranello I'm sure have laid down the law for these two... next one that takes out the other is done ROFL.... I predict they will both be docile like a couple of neutered dogs....

Agree, it's unlikely there'll be any more collisions...apart from harmless tyre bumps

Ferrari have said:Vet and Lec are aware that Brazil crash is ''not acceptable''.
Well I'll be damned.

LEC has the majority of his career to worry about. VET doesn't give a flying F. If there's enough room for one car at a corner, it'll be car #5 coming out first.

Looks like Bottas set for GD after engine swap. It's unlikely any F1 engine can be repaired after trailing pipe smoke like that. He's right at the back, car's had new PU,turbo and mgu-h
* It's confirmed that Latifi is replacing Kubica in'20.Hope the pole hands the car back in one piece after the event, seems
hard of hearing that the team is struggling with finance and parts.

What's everyone's favorite F1 news website? Currently mine is Motorsport.com but I'm interested to see what everyone else uses.

It's been confirmed, he's getting a new engine for this race.

I'd hope Williams has learned their lesson and will plan accordingly to have a full car ready for testing in February as well as have enough spare parts starting in Melbourne.

Also interesting, I read a recent interview where Kubica was asked about the effect a pair of rookie drivers would have on Williams (given that they have little experience in F1). His response was that it shouldn't matter since Williams only listed to about 10% of the suggestions he's made throughout the season. I was a bit surprised at first, but really shouldn't have been. It seems Williams has made mistake after mistake in their decision making process this year. Even Russel criticized them for not taking more gambles during the races

Williams under deputy Clare Williams is questionable with Sir Frank probably not capable of making the necessary decisions and with not listening to Kubica's experience no wonder the team are in bother from all sides especially with finance for cad, fabricating/testing aero parts and as you mentioned low paid strategists.
