Minor paint repair - shop or DIY?

I must have had a rock hit the hood. Although there is no dent, it did knock a chunk of paint off.

I'd like the repair to look as good as possible as it's in a very visible place.

What do you recommend? Is touch up paint easy to get right?

Or should I have a pro do it?

The car is Arctic Grey.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions / recommendations

DIY touch-up is never going to look as good as a shop job. Ever. But it's a lot cheaper.

Ah yes, the old chiperoo! I noticed BMW paint seems less forgiving than previous vehicles I've owned (Ford, Volvo, Toyota). So when I had some chips on my X5, in Dark Graphite Metallic, I was worried. I went this the Dr. ColorChip touch up and can't even tell there was a chip. If you take your time, and build it up, you'll get even better results. Would recommend is 10/10 times...I am no pro detailer either, so that speaks for itself.
