I can't waith to see it. Had few Acuras in the past, they are really nice cars but wish they had RWD choice.

The kicker will be it'll only be available with a CVT transmission 😂.

I always had a soft spot for the RSX and first gen TSX. Beautifully styled.

Garage List
I've always loved Acuras and have had one in my household since I started driving. My first car and true love was a 95' Acura legend in a metallic Champagne with Tan leather. Man was that car so ahead of it's time...Over the years I've also owned a 96' TL, 99 Integra GSR (5spd), 05' TL, 12' TSX and currently in the stable an 18' RDX.

I've always loved Acura's perfect blend between sport and luxury, especially at their price point. I really wanted a 6spd TL-s back in 07-08 but they were near impossible to find when I was in the market for another car.

Anyway, I think it's great they're bringing the Type S moniker back. With Acura's a Type S is typically a completely overhauled car, not just a badge. Hopefully they stay true to their roots by doing the same with the TLX but I doubt it will have a manual transmission option which is a large disappointment. Looking forward to the reveal next week

Last time I cared about Acura was the 04-08 TL, let's hope this new TLX is actually good, although I still wish Honda would make a RWD platform, but the new RDX is very nice (other than the garbage infotainment) and a sign of positive changes at Acura. Looking forward to this!

Yeah I don't understand why Acura doesn't go AWD. The problem with Acura sedans is that a nicely spec'd Accord offers a similar driving experience at a better value. They need to differentiate better from the Honda lineup IMO.

At least this one will be SH-AWD (at least as an option maybe even standard?).

Probably standard on the V6, likely optional on the 4-pot. Would be sweet if they could pair the Accord's 6MT with the V6.

As a previous owner of a 2005 Acura TL from 2005 through 2018, I have a soft spot for Acura. I think they really need to nail the TLX this time. Hoping that it'll come with SH-AWD with a non-CVT automatic gearbox with the option of a manual. Powerwise, I would expect it to compete against the M340i, S4/S5, and the C43 AMG...

It'll be a crowded field - In addition to competing with the mid-range German products, this will go up against the Genesis G70, Infiniti Red Sport, Kia Stinger, etc.

Almost confused this thread with "Honda Civic Bugatti edition". Thats what I'm going to call the new tlx, it has some bold curves in the concept but doubt it will be that bold in it's performance. Kind of like the latest Lexuses, with their ricy styling

Wife had an 2011 MDX. It was nice and served us well. We replaced it late last year with the X3 M40i. The new MDX just had nothing to offer at the $55k price point it occupied. RDX was nice, but still $45k.

I had a 2016 TLX SH-AWD. About the most boring car ever. I thought the Accord Touring was nicer but I wanted AWD. It was $43k, so I should have looked harder. Sold it this year and bought a 34 ton truck.

These leaked months ago from the RDX's software, the MDX leaked with it as well.

Infiniti may as well be dead honestly, anything after the G35/37, M, FX is all trash. As for the Stinger and G70, great cars, probably will sell in very small numbers.

With the brief exception of the TL, Acura lost their way when they moved from actual car names to the RSX/TSX/RL/TL nomenclature. Hopefully Honda/Acura will get some better styling and get back to their basics - reliable, fun, affordable cars compared to the rest of their class.

source eh ... my eyes

stinger is dead, I have seen one. how many red sports have you seen? I don't remember seeing one. G cars are 10+ yrs old and there is nothing in the pipeline. Nissan is at the verge of bankrupcy. When have you visited their site last time?
