LOL, great thread idea.
I've only owned two cars, so my "worst" car would be my old Audi Ultrasport, great in the winters, decent DD, great interior, driving experience was so-so. EDIT: New picture attached.

I am too embarrassed but what the hell.
First, some side notes : It's early 1980's. I am just out of school. No jobs yet, no money and no credit and parents are far far away and unable to help me financially. My old clunker breaks down (a 1977 Chevy Camaro Z28). No money to fix it. I finally get a job offer after a few weeks but the office is all the way across town. I have to have a car since public transportation is out of question. A friend offers a helping hand. He can co-sign a car loan for me but ....We can only get a car from an Oldsmobile dealership where he knows the guy at the finance department. Not a lot of options there...So there we go. A drove this POS which I hated from the first moment of seating behind its wheel and could not get rid of it for another two and a half years before I could afford buying another car that I actually picked myself and liked For those wondering this is what I ended up with : This masterpiece of vehicle research and design is an Oldsmobile Firenza Last edited by Tondtar; 01-22-2009 at 01:04 PM.. |

One of my coworkers owned the 1994 Mazda 626 and the engine ended up catching fire while she was driving it on the road. In the end, the whole car caught on fire and the fire department had to put the car out. So, I wasn't surprised at all that the first generation first year Mazda 5 had to be bought back from the consumers because of a fire hazard.

A 2002 VW Golf VR6. A fun car to drive when it was not at the dealership to get it repaired. I had enough after two years and bought my first BMW after.

My old man had a 1996 LS400. 150000 miles without one single issue. I've never seen such a nice, well built machine of isolated comfort.

I'm glad so see you've left the dark side, welcome back to the good side of the force Luke. I'd have to say "yuck" to both the choices above. M3 is quite a change.

Worst car, a 10 year old 1972 Ford Torino, completely surface rusted 112K miles, it had some carb issue where it didn't run quite right. Bought it for $50. Never left me stranded.
