Just got a Volvo XC90

Took ownership of a 2018 XC90 T5 last night, it's my wife's car, but I too enjoy driving it and I am impressed by its turning ratio and cornering, as well as it's power given it's a 4cyl/curb weight. Originally was after the T6, but this one was the color we wanted, 20k miles, and flawless interior/exterior.

Anyway, for any other owners of the XC90 I had a few questions. First is, it seems as though a proper VIN Decoder does not exist for these cars? Second, any ownership reviews, things to look out for with this car? I've been reading about potential AC issues. Otherwise, drivers seem to be happy with the overall value.

This is our first Volvo, coming from VW, BMW and Mercedes.

Beautiful cars, Geely has truly transformed the brand with cars that are luxurious inside and out.

Only issues I know of are the infotainment system tends to be very laggy and unresponsive. It seems the first two model years were plagued worse with issues than 18's+. Otherwise I'd check out SweedSpeed (Volvo forums) for any reliability concerns. Seems like software gremlins are the biggest issues with any Geely-Volvo.

Congrats on the new SUV

My wife has one, we bought it new, she has the T8 Hybrid, we love it. Has needed a few software upgrades, we were able to get them done during our regular service. 90% of her driving is local so the electric only 18 miles takes care of most of her driving. We have white also, beautiful car.

Congrats. Volvo has really turned the tide with their entire portfolio since this redesigned XC90 came out.

nice, Ive never driven a volvo before but since our inventory is super low right now I'm driving one for my demo while i wait for my next ride to come in and I must say volvo makes a great car. its not the SUV but its a smaller sedan but its nice. Nothing but positives to say about volvo. Im sure your ride is the same. Props

I had a 2017 XC90 T5 with no issues. I got another one, a denim blue 2020 XC90 T5 about 3 months ago. I love it. My dogs fit perfectly in the back without putting the second row seats down(Great Dane and Saint Bernard). They arent allowed in the X5. lol

Congrats and enjoy!!!!!!

Congrats on the new wheels. Down the road we might look at one. Though I have enjoyed our X1 I have not been happy with the huge loss in value from new. Mostly from a replacement point of view - that is if hit seriously it be declared a total loss.

We let our dog in the back of our X1 but we also installed the BMW pig pen. AKA their seat covers. They work great.
