This was an interesting experience. In the morning I got an invite from Stan AKA Substantial. I got there a little early and decided to set up my camera since it was my first time shooting an event like this. As I'm doing this a few artists approach me and ask if I could shoot for them. But I warned them it was my first time and I'm still in the process of learning. So needless to say, I neglected to check my shutter speed. So most pics were ruined. I managed to "save" about 50 out of 300 shots from that night. Here are some of those shots.

It's underground hip hop. I believe it would be comparable to the work of KRS-One and older hip-hop groups. Here's a link to one of Substantial's song that was in rotation on MTV a few months ago.
