This month was a good month because…

This month was a good month for me because I sold 14.5 cars at my job.

Kinda surprised. I thought I only got out 11-12.

I just went back and looked at all the sold logs and it showss I sold 14.5.

Majority of the cars I sold were used since the whole chip shortage has limited Ford's new car production.

So what does that equal to in terms of compensation?

Not 100% sure yet.

Gotta ask the GM. So, far I've made $2,500 with taxes taken out.

For me it was a good month because I paid $70K in state and federal taxes.

But the reality is, about 40% of that was federal taxes and estimated payments for next year, because I expect to do better than I did this year, and the other 60% was tax and title on some dream cars I've wanted since I was a kid (no new cars - just FINALLY taxed and titled the cars i bought last year).

So while that $70K stings a bit, it's kind of like a good hot chili. Burns at the time, gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling all night, and tomorrow it will give me a whole new warm and fuzzy feeling

Was my first month of retirement. Ergo, a good month.

Can't believe how fast it flew by.

It's wild, we have no inventory at a Cadillac store. Used car prices are through the roof and we are having records months almost every month. Congrats to you! 14 units is a solid number.
How many other sales people?

I took a month off from work. 20 years at the same company; I was ready for a break.

Nah, I had one half deal. One of my customers came on my day off and I didn’t know he was coming in. So, I split the deal with the guy that sold the car.

I'm really digging the 2021 F150 hybrid.. if I wouldn't take a such a huge hit, I would trade in my wife's 2020 F-150... 700 miles range is insane..

For me it's a good month cause my parents came to visit and I havent seen them in over 2 years.. Got to talk to my dad about cars and how he's modded his Golf R... He wants to tune it but I told him it's dumb ( and I know the guy that would do it and threatend his life if he tuned my dad's car) and I want him around not wrapped around a tree or under a tractor trailer..

I'm still contemplating if I should go to school or stay here.

I've got 1.5-2 years left until I get my bachelors degree (I just got my associates in business). I'm getting my bachelors in business analytics.

If I stay at the dealership for 1.5-2 years, I could get promoted to a sales manager positions since I've known the GM at this dealership for two years. I used to work with him at a Kia dealership.

I can easily make 3 figures has a sales manager. Straight out of college I'll be making like $70k/year roughly.

We had an F-150 hybrid. But, the owner is driving it.

I don't think I'd pay $70k for a damn truck. Maybe because I'm not a truck guy

That's my beef with US cars on a lot, it's either load and basic AF.. My wife's truck had a sticker of like $51k but it was Oct 31 and the GM was feeling generous with discounts/trade allowances. So out the door it was $31k (Fkin amazing value at that price!!).. It's the 2.7 twin turbo so it goes.. I'm not used to being so high up and my wife hates how low my BMW is.. For hauling kids and her various crazy ass projects, it's hits all the marks.. It had more internal passenger than most SUVs. It's a nice addition and I enjoy it for beinng able to do stuff that I can or won't do in my BMW (throw a ton of gravel and pavers in the bed..)

But I'm with you, there are a very few vehicles that I would pay $71k for...
