Schwinn Airdyne

Picked up one of these yesterday - been reading about their popularity by crossfit gyms. The plan is to incorporate it into my HIIT training at home on the days I'm not in the gym.

Anyone here have or had one? Did you get a good workout from it or get good results?

That’s a throwback. The “screen” suggests it’s a model from, I would guess, 1990s or so. Or a recent retro version. Is that close? This type of exercise bike was popular in the 70s and 80s. Anything that gets your heart rate elevated is good.

A great machine especially for a warm up to starting a routine. It works a large amount of the body because of the arms and legs being mechanically linked together. In addition you may also just target the legs or the arms should an injury require you to rest either upper or lower parts. I wish that I had one in my home.

few years back at a gym I used an Airdyne that looked just like the one in the picture.
As mentioned above 'compound' recall feeling it in my abs.

Finally back from an island vacation and got to really use it last night for 20 mins - sprinting for 1 minute on and off - it definitely worked my entire body - but particularly my shoulders and legs. It's got wheels so it's simple to move to different areas of the house and the bike generates a ton of air flow back to the rider which is "cool."

Have one, it’s a good overall workout, much older than 90’s?
