Rear side window shattered

Came to my car and found the rear side window shattered. Most likely some random a$$hole that hit it with a hard object and left. Didn't bother to call the cops because no camera captured the scene.
Wonder if anyone had replaced a window like this and can give me an idea of how much it will cost? and recommend body shop if any, thanks..

Do you have glass coverage on your insurance? I always carry it for the zero deductible on glass. Had this happen on my 2018 c43, the shop billed insurance around $400.

Was there ever any resolve to this? My drivers side window got smashed today while Parked for only an hour. I’ll be checking with my insurance in the AM to see about the glass deductible.

In a situation like this, I would always call the police and have them write a report which I can submit to my insurance. 😉

Sorry to read jamesc05 While I haven't done this, it looks like it is very much a DIY job. This is a crap video, but you can use it get the idea of the process:

There's a LKQ yard near you in Monrovia with multiple cars to choose from:
https://www.lkqpickyourpart.com/inve...earch=BMW+328i Practice taking the glass out and use that skill to reinstall. The Glass itself is $20 plus $5 entrance fee.

I changed out a smashed drivers side glass myself in an older Astra GTE ages ago when parked near a night club in a dodgy area, the low lifes took the rear speakers. Wind up windows on the car so it was easy replacement after sweeping the diamonds up.
