PPF and Ceramic Cost Check
I am located in the Seattle area and am getting quotes of $5K+ for the following:
1. Tint on all windows and windshield (xpel ceramic) 2. Full front PPF (xpel) 3. Ceramic coating (xpel or ceramic pro) 4. Ceramic interior coating (xpel or ceramic pro) It seems extremely expensive. I thought trying to bundle everything would save money but am wondering if i should shop individually. I have checked around 5 shops. Am willing to drive if anyone knows of better prices around. Was hoping to be around $3-4k max. |

Here's a base line for what I got quoted, but it's for less items that what you are going to do:
1. Tint front driver/passenger windows 2. PPF (full front bumper, full hood, front quarter panels, mirrors, door cups and all 4 door edges) I got quoted $1,900. Seattle area as well - Kirkland. |

Make sure they wrap the edges. The dealer for example wanted to PPF using a pre cut film, and the lines will definitely show on most colors in that case. Custom with wrapped edges is more expensive (labor intensive), but it is worth it IMO.

I actually think that's a pretty decent price. My brand new 2022 X5 M50i is in the shop now and is getting the following.
Xpel XR tint on all the windows including windshield 1200.00 Full body Xpel PPF including wrapping the edges 7000.00 Wheels off Xpel ceramic coating including rims, calipers 499.00 Entire car Xpel ceramic coating 999.00 This is the price I'm paying. The owner was super nice and is giving me a 10% discount for being a firefighter. So the price was actually about 1K higher. I'm in SoCal so I'm sure the price varies with what region of the country you're in. As I understand it, it's extremely labor intensive. So a lot of that price is in the labor. My question to anyone who has done this is before the PPF, they will prep with all the special soaps to get the paint ready for the PPF and clay bar the entire car. They are not going to polish it. Does that seem right to you guys? All the YouTube videos I watched had the workers polishing the car. I'm thinking because it's literally 10 days old, maybe it's not needed.
