Are there any specific precautions to take when washing the engine bay of the G80?

I wash the engine bay of my cars a few times a year. Usually lightly spray the bay first to wet it, spray Adam's general purpose cleaner, use a soft brush as needed to loosen dirt, then lightly rinse. Never had a problem doing this in my last three BMWs.

I have not explored the G80 bay enough to know where the openings for the air intakes are in order to avoid spraying toward those.

I've used pressure washer to rinse engine bay
Used apc and agitate with brush then rinse with pressure washer without any issues
Didn't tape off or cover any areas
