im honestly not sure the proper way to answer this question. my business brings in 13k-14k per month. but i spend about 4-5k/month in product for the business, and have about 5-6k per month in all my bills and expenses. but i technically make over 150k per year.

I willing to bet the 9 who said under $25,000. Once you add in the 25% embellishment factor, most probably picked one above the real one.

Every now and then topics related to income or "how much money do I need to afford a ____?" come up. Unfortunately, I have yet to see an honest straightforward response to any of these types of posts. This seems especially true when the question is posted on a "high end" car forum.

But here are some numbers published by BMW:
Today’s typical 3 Series Sedan owner
• Gender 50% female/50% male
• Age Younger than the competition
(30s to 50s), but getting older:
Loyalists = oldest; conquest
(L/P) – in-between; conquest
(non-L/P) = youngest, Gen-X
• Occupation Executive/Managerial 24%
Professional Specialty 16%
Sales/Health Care/
Administrative/Clerical 22%
• Median
house-hold
income $102,000
• Children 1 in 3 households has kids at
home
• Interests Driving for fun, working out,
running/jogging/walking, golf,
listening to radio, personal
computing
• Psychology Strong self-perception and
confidence, independent
• Brand BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi,
affinities Lexus, Acura
• Sales source Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Infiniti,
Acura

Dealers say that most of thier cars are leased or financed and we can see the median income of 3 series owners above. However, whenever these types of threads come up, it would seem that everyone is in the top 5% of income for owners of that particular car and most of them pay cash for thier cars.

I'm sure many people are telling the truth , either way I wouldn't take these surveys seriously.

this is not an accurate depiction of the average 3 series driver. this is a voluntary poll. a person making 150k+ is more inclined to vote than someone who lives at home making <25k.

I make more money than anyone here, and I own a Yacht. On top of that, I own my small apartment. Maybe you have seen me taking pictures of my yacht from the upstairs bathroom of the boathouse. I have a BMW to get around in.

I am the best business man in town... I am the most attractive person on the board, and I like to show off my chest (which isnt all that attractive though). I like thumbs, and I pay my sister to take pictures of me that show how 'confident' I am.

Most importantly, I am a very emotionally stable person. I dont like to boast, and I take criticism well. I enjoy meeting new people and compliment them regularly because I am a nice guy.

Anything more you would like to know about me?
