Came back from lunch to this (see inside). What should I do?
Of course was feeling good after a nice lunch and walked up to see a beautiful sight on my front bumper. Someone could have hit me a few days earlier for all I know as the car hadn't gone far and has always been in a parking lot. I'm typically a lightning rod for people hitting me, so not too unexpected.
Leasing and have a few years left, so a bit bummed. At turn in, the panel would cost me $400 for excessive damage, but I am not sure I can deal with the appearance for that long. What would you think I am looking at for repairs? Not seeing any denying - only scrarches. Any suggestions on what to request when approaching the body shop? Thanks all. https://ibb.co/BtC9RMF https://ibb.co/DKdNVG5 |

Damn that looks bad , sorry. Assuming car is new , I would say make it as close to perfect as can be. If bumper is gouged, maybe replacement? Not if the plastic can be repaired to your satisfaction. Like to know what they say. Best of luck

Sorry to see that this happened, the bumper will most likely need to be removed, sanded down and painted. the black trim piece looks to be damaged as well so might need to order a replacement. Not sure what it'll run you but I'm guessing ~400 is fair

Definitely get it fixed, in the UK we would just get a smart repair done on that area.
