What do you use for an after shave?

My face is ridiculously sensitive and I usually go with Nivea after shave balm but I was wondering it there was anything better. I don't know if it's because I'm only 22 and my face isn't tough enough yet but DAMN if I shaved even close to every day my face is saying fuck youuuuu.

Depends on your skin. If you tend to get oily, then I love Sharps Barbers Brigade aftershave. It also tends to help complexion as well. If your skin gets dry, then I like to use Everyday Jack aftershave. It's got a little SPF in there as a bonus. I use both of the above, depending on the weather, since i get oily when hot, or dry in cold.

Also, it helps to shave in the shower, since the steam opens up the skin more.

Nothing, rarely use shaving cream either. I just shave when in the shower and let the running water act as a lubricant.

I use to dry shave, just cause I was lazy.

No aftershave for me. I use Biore which is some face lotion. It's like 10 bucks for a small bottle and works great. My face is sensitive and I can grow a full beard in a week but I find using a vibrating razor (Gillette M3 Power) does the trick and doesn't hurt.

Plus most aftershave uses alcohol which is bad for the skin... use moisturizer.

Aftershave is garbage... after you shave you should be moisturizing your skin, not drying it out with alcohol.

I use the blood from the friction of the blade running across my bare skin as after shave.

I don't mean aftershave as in, that shit that uses alchohol and burns like a mofo and THEN makes your face feel better because air touches it and makes it feel cool. I mean functional stuff that doesn't leave your face TIGHT and dry and feeling like garbage.

I have similar skin. I can't shave more than every 2 to 3 days.

Almost all shaving cream I ever used irriatated my skin to a degree. So I've now resorted back to an electric razor. I prefer it.

The only thing that doesn't irritate my skin is plain old barbasol... the stuff for like 75 cents for a can. After I shave I put some low percentage benzol peroxide and a moisturizer from "daniel kern" (the brand from acne.org). I've never had acne, but I would break out from shaving and found his products through word of mouth and the stuff helps keep my skin from breaking out from shaving.

My skin gets crazy irritated as well. I shave every other day and it is still a problem. I have been wondering if there is something out there that will really help. My beard comes in pretty thick, so I have to shave against the grain sometimes on my neck to get it all. Need something though!!

I use some Nivea balm as well.
