50 Years of M at the Cars & Caffeine car show

For the first time, a gathering of 50 vehicles spanning the 50-year history of BMW M were on display to the public in front of the BMW stand on Saturday, March 5 during the Amelia Cars & Caffeine car show. The group included vehicles brought by BMW Car Club of America M Chapter members from around the country as well as some interesting examples from BMW of North America's classic collection.

Special thanks to BMW NA, BMW CCA leaders Esteban Valentin, Paul Seto and Matt Anderson AND most importantly those who displayed their cars!

See selected pictures below including the recently restored 1980 BMW M1, the original 1-of-1 E31 M8 Prototype and certain member vehicles.

Gorgeous pics! That E46 in Santorini is spectacular. The F80 was such a great design. Flawless imho. Thanks for sharing!

I don't think that's Santorini on the e46, looks more like Leguna Seca

Thanks for grabbing all these pictures! And thanks for all the help organizing this pseto and you were instrumental in getting this all organized. As President of the BMW CCA M Chapter I feel blessed to have been requested by BMWNA to help organize all this for them.

I am patiently waiting for all the media of this event to drop! We pulled it off! Having M Chapter in charge of sourcing and vetting the cars to be displayed in the BMW area at Amelia Concours this year was lots of work but it all paid off at the end!

Different car. It was brought to us by a nice couple from North Carolina, he told me he purchased from a local dealer to him a couple years ago.

Hagerty now owns the Amelia event and I believe they branded it Cars and Caffeine for this year.

They included a cool had with 2022 embroidered handed to each participant displaying a car.

Great event, thanks for sharing!

Constructive criticism for the photographer - cars are longer/wider than they are tall. Landscape orientation photos work better than portrait.

Good feedback, I'm glad @ando took any pics, with the 6am start to organize cars and rolling into the field we didn't have much time to grab pics so I am happy he snapped a few with his phone. Their is a lot of media that was grabbed and hopefully we can update this post with more as it rolls out from the official BMW channels.

I had one of my local friends who is a photographer take some drone pics also. Props to Andrew Mackey from Melbourne Florida.
