Help Taking Pictures
Need help taking pictures lol, i havent really taken many pictures so i could do with a few tips or some advice so i can take some good photos to post on here .
I've got a 'cheap/basic' digital camera (Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S650) and i have photoshop cs3. Thanks in advance Jay |

Buy a cheap tripod, don't shoot in the middle of the day or in the dead of the night, find a nice location, make sure your car is clean, etc.

I find taking pictures when it's cloudy or overcast yields the best lighting.
I see you live in Nottingham, so that shouldn't be a problem for you. |

tripod, no flash, no bright light, sun should hit car at angle or from side, not above from above.
use funky angles, take lots of shots, so you can later pick. And of course camera makes big difference, so people with some kickass DSLR that has cool lenses and filters will always take better pics then those with a point-and shoot cam with normal lens.

2nd that. Plus, a DSLR will yield much better pics, a Point n Shoot, will not

if your camera lets you, shoot in raw format. much easier to process later if you plan on doing editting

If I head up north sometime, ill give you a shout. Maybe you can come join me on a shoot.
Personally the best pictures (in terms of cars) are partial shots/close ups rather than full car shots. Maybe a mixed bag. |

Thanks for all your tips ill have a play around with the camera ive got while i try and pick up a DSLR..
