Diesel fuel pump hypothetical question
Let's say that it's 8:30 AM on a work day, and you stop at the local gas station and convenience store for a cup of coffee on your way to work.
You park your BMW EV in front of the only diesel fuel pump at the station, and use the free windshield squeegee to clean off the bugs from all windows. Then, you go inside to get your coffee. When you come back out, there's a lowly Toyota Prius (yes, a Prius!) parked on the other side of the diesel pump -- and a huge diesel truck sitting behind *your* BMW EV wailing on its air horn like a crazy person because they need fuel from that pump. Do you wave and apologize to the truck driver for blocking the pump, or do you sit there for 10 more minutes drinking your coffee and scratching off your lottery tickets...and possibly going back inside to cash in any winners? The Prius driver should be moved by then, so the truck can move over to the other side of the pump and buy their fuel.....

It's a hypothetical question, and the dog is not allowed in my BMW!
He loves riding in my diesel pickup though, and there's plenty of pictures around the web of him hanging his head out of my race car in grid.....

HYPOTHETICALLY, if you brought OCDog, that would justify enjoying the covfefe and scratching. The vehicle doesn't matter, you should have seen the truck coming and parked in front of the Prius.

Clearly, the lowly Prius needs to move. MSRP determines privilege.
BTW- I just spit my wine out! Good one.

Sorry I cannot process this ridiculous hypothetical. I mean you expect me to believe a freaking BMW owner is getting coffee at a gas station??? C'mon man!!! Even a Wawa would be a stretch! I'm pretty sure there's a clause in the BMW purchase agreement that would have revoked that BMW owners privilege to own a BMW so.... it's such an absurd hypothetical I can't even hypothesis!

Moving or apologizing would clearly ruin the stereotype that all BMW drivers have worked so hard to create, and which you yourself have sworn to defend and uphold (it's buried in the fine print of all BMW lease / purchase agreements). |

My question is why were you parked at a pump that you clearly had no need to use? Why not park in a parking spot instead of cloggin up the pump for people who need gas other than being the stereotypical BMW douche?

So you left out the part about how the Prius driver was trying to figure out how to plug the diesel nozzle into their charging port?

Clearly the Prius driver is at fault here. For all of this. I'm not sure how yet, but I'm certain of it none the less.

Ironic that they also seem to be left lane hoggers while driving at or below the speed limit.

I think I've mentioned this before here, but my step-dad is a Prius driver. I flat out refuse to ride in the car with him. I'm legitimately terrified that someone is going to run us off the road or shoot us. He loves to tell this story about being on a 2 lane (one lane in each direction) highway through a mountain pass where he was the lead car in a line of probably dozens and he was doing that "hyper-mile" shit that Prius drivers do. He was completely proud of himself for regulating the speed of the whole group and ensuring that every car in the line was getting maximum fuel efficiency. He's delusional enough to think that people probably were back there thanking him.
