What ceramic coating did you use on your Frozen car?
Hi all, have a FDG m3 incoming this week and trying to get suggestions on what ceramic coatings you all used on your cars. I am getting full front PPF but going to ceramic coat the rest.
What did you use? If you did it yourself, was it easy to do? I called Esoteric the detailing shop after watching some of their videos and they recommended Kamikaze Miyabi. And said they put that on just about everything that rolls through their shop. They said it would work for Matte/Frozen paint, but I literally can not find a single thing online that confirms this. I can't find a video or anything showing them using it on a matte vehicle, although the CS person said they do all the time. I am reluctant to trust 1 person's opinion on a 100k car. I was thinking of maybe the Miyabi, or trying Gyeon MATTE EVO which is marketed as specifically matte cars. Im going with Gyeon leather shield for the Silverstone interior. |

I ceramic coated my frozen white G80 last year. I went with Dr Beasley's ceramic coating pro kit. These guys are leaders in the matte industry. Pricey kit, but very easy DIY, does not impact the frozen finish (No sheen added), and it's a ceramic coating that has some of the largest amount of hardness (the price tells you this).

I used nanolex Si3d Matte on my Frozen Black F13 M6. Works extremely well, and easy, but very time intensive to apply.

My coating seems to be holding up well. Still beads water well, especially for a satin finish. I've had the coating on the car for over a year now. It takes quite the beating too. My G80 is my daily and sees all types of weather, it also sits outside most of the time. No sign of staining either, from bird droppings or other elements. It's frozen white, which usually shows everything, so the coating is superb. One thing I learned when I applied it; if you happen to put too much product on a certain area, and it starts to dry up, just shoot it with more distilled water, and it works itself out. |
