I have an RS5 with a few modifications (that probably do more than this competition package). The answer is no, this competition package isn't going to give the M3 Competition any issues in the performance department.

But it looks so much better inside and out!

Steering wheel, no buck teeth, proper dash board, and let the B&O v HK debate continue!

Obviously I think so as well (biggest reason why I got a second RS5 Sportback over the M3 Comp xDrive was the styling / I just couldn't get past the grill no matter how much I wanted to). The interior I like on both...I had an M340i and loved the interior. The B&O in the Audi's is way better than the HK but I'm sure few care about that when it comes to performance cars.

That looks WAY way way better than the atrocious big tooth M3 Touring.

Audi invented this entire niche anyways of a "fast wagon" so wouldn't be surprised if this is a better wagon.

RS5 sportback is absolutely beautiful. So is this avant. Audi has been nailing it for a while now.

Quite subjective. I think Audi is old news and has been for 6-7 years.

Subjective, just like your take on Audi as a whole.

Old news for what? The front engine will never handle as well, so that's obviously not why you buy them. The practicality of the sportback and avants is off the charts, which is why they are so popular in Europe and other places. If they offered this here a couple years ago, I would have bought it. Also add to that the fact that Audi has been making and giving us an RS version of the sportback, while BMW could only do a 435/440 grand-coupe. Not sure what the "old news is", but I weigh a lot of factors before I buy a car.

Styling may be subjective...but when the majority of people think the BMW styling is crap...well, that's going a bit beyond just subjective...

K cool, go buy an Audi then. In reality, the A6/A7/A8 is ugly and no one is buying them. I guess I don't care enough about the lesser ones (anything below the A6) to even know. Audi's heyday was back in the late 2000s to early 2010s.

The M3 is a decent looking car….Audi is just boring as shit (and we had a Q7…BORING).

I actually own 2 of them. So you know nothing about the "lesser ones" but come here to comment on one? Cool story bro...

BMW has basically been trying to become Audi Jr. for the past 10 years making their whole lineup AWD and now adding a big nose to it. Add in numb steering and you have a trifecta.

It used to be that Audi and BMW were quite different and that was cool. Now they seem awfully similar, sadly.

Garage List
2008 Z4M Coupe  [10.00]
2004 X5  [8.50]
2018 Audi S3  [0.00]
One could only drool over this in the US 😏 I would get one today if it's available here. Too bad the only Avant available here is a $100k+ RS6. My perfect car (sizewise) would be an RS3 Avant. But I would "settled" for an RS4 Avant if it was made available to the NA market.

just seen your location as Canada.

i'm planning to drive from Buffalo to the northern tip of Lake Michigan in 2-3 days, around Christmas.

are the roads winter tire condition or all seasons will suffice?

we are hiring a medium SUV with Avis Buffalo

I'm not far from Buffalo. Personally I wouldn't be driving around Buffalo or surrounding area without winter tires. It's doable with all seasons especially if the weather isn't too bad, but one small hit of snow and you will wish you had snow tires (even with an awd SUV).

This thread is about an Audi model using the Competition label. I've not heard of that in an Audi before?

They used the name years ago but haven't used it since. They aren't really using it like BMW...it's just a package name. There's no exterior badging or anything like that.

seems like a marketing gimmick. $93k for a 4000 pound RS5 with coilovers and ceramic breaks?

would rather have a m340 xdrive and 30k left in my pocket for a proper sports car like a 86.
