I'm getting "Sorry! Another fan beat you to these tickets, so they're no longer available. Please select another listing, or adjust your criteria and try again." for every single ticket I try to buy. It's pissing me off.

I contacted my casino host when the news first broke about the race - said I needed a 6th floor balcony room for every Fri, Sat, & Sun of Nov in '23. He just chuckled
They are already saying up there that they expect this to be the biggest weekend Vegas has every seen. Las Vegas Blvd fronting rooms with a decent view within the track limits to start between 25k-50k per night. Do not expect comps on any rooms like that unless you have dropped 6 figures in one trip there. Of course this is dependent on the world not falling apart between now and then which is about a 50/50 at this point... So in other news - I'm starting a Go Fund Me for a very important charity event we are holding in Nevada next November... Looking to raise about 200k to put on the event. The beneficiaries have asked to not be named but rest assured this goes to a very good cause |

Coworker trying to get tickets and figure out accommodations (been to multiple F1 races) and finding it real difficult. Tickets is one thing but the hotels, from what he was told, are being sold as packages. So you can't just get a ticket and then a hotel room if you're lucky, you're being forced to buy a lot more than you need/want.

COTA is still a shit show in terms of trying to leave the event. I can't imagine vegas will be much better. Also finding a hotel room will be next to impossible. I'm in a private group of 'doctors who likes cars' on facebook... these guys were buying out rooms for multiple weekends in november before the exact dates were even announced just so they could get a good view. you can bet a bunch of other people were doing the same thing.
F1 usually sells the thing as a package. rarely can you find 1 day tickets and parking to the race. you need to buy out the entire weekend fri-sun.

I logged in for the Amex presale for the giggles. 2k a ticket. Nah I'm good.
If I can't get a strip view room. I'll watch at home. I've done cota and Miami. For that much money I'm going to a European race.

I plan to be a marshal for the race. Not sure of the details (costs) at this point, I do expect a subsidy on the hotel room, transportation to and from the course, and meals. Hotel will probably be somewhere away from the course (somewhat reasonable priced rooms). I will be paying for airfare, misc food, and any extra hotel nights, beyond the time block for the event.
For Miami the marshals stayed at 3 hotels, the one I stayed at was by the Ft Lauderale Airport, and we were bused in to a muster point outside the course, where we had meetings and meals, then bused again to the course. Austin is the same, we stay at reasonably priced hotels, and get bused to the track (no room subsidy support, Miami was an exception due to the high rates). I plan to marshal all three US Races next year, probably will drop down to Miami and Austin after that, since I also want to get back to Montreal for the Canadian GP. That is a great event, stay downtown, take the subway out to the island, and costs (for a marshal) are inexpensive (airfare, food, lodging). |

I'll try my luck tomorrow. Based on what I'm reading here, looks like I'll be sitting at home watching this race haha
Edit: welp, looks like I'm watching at home. No way in hell I'm paying those hotel rates haha |
