Got Complacency?
We are all complacent or lazy in some area of our life. As we start to usher in a new year - what area(s) do you plan to put more time or energy?
For me: Advertise my work more. I have really slacked on that. Taking more risks - reaching out to businesses instead of just waiting for them to come to me. Taking time off work to play with my 4 yr old. Every day, no matter what, I plan to spend more quality time with my youngest son. Being more intentional about how I treat my wife. It's so easy for me to be casual with my awesome wife, but she deserves better than casual. What comes to your mind? |

I need to get back to my cycling. I had been doing 100 miles/week religiously for years and I let that slip this year. It's shows. Looking at myself on the various outdoor cams, I cringe at how I look now.
I need to get back to daily cleaning around the house. I had been doing small bits here and there every day to keep things tidy, but with other projects I've been doing, the cleaning bit has suffered.

I need to get more active and less weekend drinking. I really want to "feel" better and possibly get off the BP meds and drop some weight.
I have used every excuse possible this year. -Its 4th of July then my Bday, then it was Halloween, then its Thanksgiving, the Christmas and New Years....always some festivity coming up |

Same here. I've really got to serious about getting healthy and losing weight. I broke my big toe on my left foot earlier this year, then babying it made my knee sore for months and I put on even more weight.

I broke my baby toe once. The only bone I've ever broken. Was right before a trip to the cabin in the mountains for Christmas. I did not have a good time hobbling around in a walking shoe in the snow. That was years ago, it's all better now.

Comfortable at work due to the past decade+ of effort to get it to run like it is.
I feel I should continue to make changes towards improvement but past couple of years I'm stuck in doing the same thing day in day out. |

I'm going to work on being even more complacent at work.

Big thing for me and the wife this coming year is to start getting rid of payments and revolving debts. My wife and I both have good jobs and good credit scores so we convinced ourselves we can afford stuff and get great rates, so lets take out on loans on tons of things. Things we currently have loans on: 2 vehicles, 1 side by side, 1 boat, our house, and my student loans.
Come spring time we should sell our boat, pay off the side by side since the balance is low, and then start aggressively paying down student loans (once the feds make folks pay again). Getting to a place where our only debts are the house and cars I would feel better. Then in a couple years the cars get paid off as that's when the loans are done.
