iRacing? suggestions for set-up
A few track rats I know are getting into iRacing.com. Grassroots Motorsports recent article had good things to say. It seems to have the most realistic physics engine for a racing sim and quite a few people are using for off track training. I'm not a gamer per se but am going to sign up, anyone try it out yet and have feedback?
Any experience with an affordable seat/cockpit set-up would be appreciated. I have the seats out of my Cayman available if I can get one to work for this. |

I'd never heard of this before but it looks quite promising
How much cash you willing to spend on your setup?

I'm going to get the GT25 wheel and try to make/buy the rest for a few hundred dollars. That setup above is wicked, wish my garage was bigger.

Been evaluating this recently and gotta say it is great - the Radical SR8 is great fun and sounds unbelievable. Using Momo force (Logitech)

I too have been going at iRacing a bunch. TOTALLY ADDICTED!! Have my C lic. now, trying real hard to be fast tracked to my B lic soon.
I agree about the Radical. Man that beast is so fun. So far I have only been able to test it, no practice or races in that car yet. But, soon I hope to be. I am Jason King, if you want to add me to your friends lists.

I have a fanatec wheel, but have yet to try it on any PC sims. Been using it with Forza 3. Great wheel.

I'm an avid iRacing enthusiast! I use it everyday. Take a look at the Nixim.com - they make great chassis Ihave one. I highly recommend CST pedals too.
I absolutely cannot wait for the FW31 Williams F1 car!!! I'm also a huge F1 fan. |

I just started in iRacing back in Oct. So far it has been an absolute blast. I too can't wait for the Williams F1 car. It is so incredible that the powers that be over @ iRacing were able to get that car. And the level of cooperation they are getting is insane. If you go to the iRacing forums, in the off-topic section they have a chat about the F1 car. It's worth a read. I don't want to spill any beans here. to all here that love F1, or racing in general ... get over to iRacing and give it a try for a month or 3. It is really fun, if you are into driving fast on a track. If you're looking for a DIRT2 or PGR type game, iRacing isn't it. @03SGM///M3 ... add me up as a friend in iRacing, Jason King is my name.
