Happy New Years from my neighbors…
Woke up this morning to find this wonderful surprise from my neighbors. Wouldn’t have minded too much except that once I cleaned the residue off, there is a dime sized dent now on the hood. I have tried some of those pointless dent removal kits before without much luck, so I’m open to any suggestions!

I wish I had an easy DIY idea, but I'd call my insurance to see if it was covered under comprehensive (especially since you have the photos) and take it to my body shop. In NorCal I have a great one that I trust so anything like that goes to him. |

That looks to be a very shallow dent. Given how small it is and it's location, if it were me, I would see if I could remove the heat insulation on the underside of the hood and gently push out the dent from the underside.

Thanks all. I got a recommendation for someone who is highly recommended, will call them when we get back to town. I will check the underside too as gfeiner97 suggested, can’t hurt to take a look.
