335i vs slk 55 amg

my buddy with a slk 55 amg wants to race me (335i cpe). Realistically, what are my chances..slim...none? Engine-wise my car is stock.

I think stock for stock, the SLK AMG seems faster (3472 lbs., 355 HP, 0-60 in 4.9 seconds).

Gonna need a tune and a couple other mods for an even match

You saying the SLK 55 AMG 0-60 time is 4.9? If that is so the OP needs to do plenty of practice with the brake torquing launches, will be close.

It's a 5.5 liter V8 and mercedes knows how to make a V8, If you catch him it'll be early on after 80mph I think he's got you. Let's turn this into a socal meet!

amg c63 is a different beast, it is a competitor with the 335i, unlike the slk 55 amg which I think is more of a competitor to the Z4 M.
