meh, apple's physical appearance is good, but their durability and customer service are legendary for being crappy.

im waiting until they fix the durability of their products so i can avoid their customer service, then ill buy an ipod, maybe.

Their tech support blows shit lately. I set up a swap for a NEW 3g iphone for my old one which crapped out in the middle of nowhere after being replaced 2 days before. I get to the store and some fucking townie who got lucky and got the manager job gave me shit about it, so I had to call fucking AT&T and THEY made apple replace my phone.

I was about 30 seconds from going to Verizon and getting another blackberry, dumb fucks. It took 2 weeks for them to mail me a new phone, and when i called after 10 days (jerkoff on the phone said 3-5 days) he was like crying saying they're tryingto be nice and asking why I was being so impatient. They may hire people in this country, but you can really understand why they're working for a company that gives them a protocol book and aren't off curing cancer or anything useful like that.

VZ has better highspeed coverage with blackberry, but the browser is so much better (IMO) and more useable with the iphone...

Ithink its only 2 more years till their exclusive is up, and they'll be handing these things out like razrs

I just switched from an old Samsung A707 flip phone to the iPhone 3G for Christmas/Hanukkah (I celebrate both).

So far I love it. The battery life is great for me and I get about 2 days to a full charge. The phone is very fast with only a little delay sometimes when you switch programs really fast. The internet rocks, no more mobile versions of everything! The apps are really fun and I even downloaded SimCity for it!

The only real negatives for me are no MMS (but you can work around that by sending e-mails to peoples phone numbers), no video recording, and I have big hands, so I'm still trying to get used to the keyboard. Apple's predictive text works really well, I can butcher a word and it will still spell it right for me, but I like to get it right on my own.

Overall I really enjoy the phone, and it seems to be built really well.

yeah typing is hard on it, but the interface and graphics and everything blows other phone away. i loaded mine up with porn, great for traveling when you need to rub one out on the airplane

I have had nothing but good service from apple, so far.

I dropped my iPhone (while drunk at a wedding), no sign of physical damage, so I took it to the Apple Store and they handed me another one, they said I had one day of warranty left. Either way, I'm a happy customer.

I got the new Curve 8900 a few weeks ago. It rocks. It does not have 3G like the Bold, but it's much smaller and has a full QWERTY unlike the Storm. Highly recommend it if you need to do a lot of emails and don't want to carry around something the size of the Bold.
