Opti-Glass Windshield Coating

Has anyone used Opti-Glass coating for their windshield? Will this coating have any impact on the rain sensing features of the vehicle?

My windshield is ceramic coated with CQuartz Finest and it was applied professionally. I have zero issues. With that said, I have another brand ceramic coating on one of my other vehicles that I applied myself. I have had issues with the wipers dragging on the coating. It's flattened out over time, but it's still there. If the ceramic coating isn't buffed off properly you'll have dragging with your wiper blades. That's more of a common issue than interference with the rain sensor.

To be on the safe side just avoid the sensor area.

I use the Opti-Glass coating on both my BMW and my Mazda. Every bit of outside glass, including the side view mirrors. Absolutely love it. Lasts well over a year. No squeeking or smearing. My rain sensors work fine, but I don't know if their performance was altered by my applying the coating.

I tried Adams Glass ceramic coating and not impressed. No streaking or squeezing from wipers but can’t really tell a noticeable difference in rain performance. Glass feels smoother/slicker to the touch but rain doesn’t really slide off without wiping like with plain old Rainx. Will have to try the Opti-Glass.

My windscreen is ceramic coated with Gyeon Q² View, including the sensor area.

One thing that helps that is to apply some of the glass coating to your wiper blades.
