Steering wheel restoration?
I’m probably a bit too late now, but is there any way to get my steering wheel back to that dull matte finish like it had from the factory? It’s all shiny and dirty now and I hate it. Any tips appreciated!

Any good leather cleaner will work. I’ve had good results with Leatherique. I’ve gotten mine back to that Matte, clean look, but the shininess does come back fairly often. Just have to stay on top of it.

You want to lift the oils out of the leather, which is what makes it shiny. Easiest way I've found is to use a steamer, followed by a leather cleaner (I like Colourlock, mild or strong leather cleaner).

If you want a proper job, there are a few repair shops. I’ve sent mine to England to Control Customs. It was cheaper than working with any shop in America. I’m massively happy.

Mine will get back to matte finish by using some leather cleaner, but then ends up shiny again after a couple days. Is there anything like a sealant to keep it matte?
