Was about to wash my car and I saw this and broke my heart. Is there any way I can fix this or someone I can take it to. Located in OC thank you guys!

I hate scratches but road debris and speed it will eventually catch you. As small as it appears, I think if you take your time you may be able to layer the correct paint in there and make it look pretty invisible. There are certainly rim repair facilities or maybe even a body shop that perform the same task with better skill.

Hey Angel, I understand how you feel as I also got a small nick not too long ago on my rear wheel. Do a Yelp search for rim repair and take it to them for a quote. Usually it'll be somewhere between $150 to $200 if I remember correctly. If you want to tackle this yourself, you'll need to use a filler to fill in the nick, sand it flat, then paint it. If you are tight on budget and don't need perfection, then maybe you can use this as a weekend DIY project.

I would just leave it. There isn't really a good way to prevent chips on a wheel lol. I have so many random chips on my wheels that I stopped chasing them and let them be.

If you really want, you can just get touch up paint that is used for your wheel but I wouldn't do a full wheel repair for something so minor lol.

Other than a full repaint that you can get at a rim repair shop or bodyshop or DIY, I would just try to mask the silver with some paint match touchup.

I used to have the same train of thought and was really OCD wanting to chase prefection but I'm starting to not care as much and if I can get touchup paint to at least hide it good enough, it works for me.

I have and Bro-inlaw took ours right to BMW and they fixed it for under $200

End results was "no one will know"

A couple of decades of running Saabs on New England roads had me on first name basis with a wheel shop in Boston. It is truly amazing what these shops can do.

Just Google wheel/ rim repair in your area and get some prices. I recommend that you visit at least two shops so you know you have received a reasonable and competitive quote.

I’d skip total wheel repair for this one. Get some matching paint and use a tiny pointed brush or even toothpicks to get the paint in the affected area.

Hold off until you curb the wheel before you go for wheel repair.

Out of curiosity and for future reference, are the companies that sell paint that is used exclusively for wheel repairs?

BMW wheels are tough because of the particular coatings, machined finishes, and tinted clear coat. Can an experienced wheel repair company fix it? Sure, but for how long is the question. It may look good the day you pick it up but not 6 months later, due to lower quality products used. If you're OCD, unfortunately curb rash means a replacement wheel.

Wurth is well known for its silver alloy wheel paint. Krylon, Duplicolor and VHT all make wheel paints as well.

Keep in mind my recommendation is based on the relatively small scratches on the OPs wheel.

I don’t have a favorite brand, any of those are good for a small touch up type repair.

I did a little digging around and apparently the BMW paint code for black wheels is 668, it’s gloss jet black.

For small chips, this should work for you
