Threads i am really sick of
Well since alot of the early adopters have our cars.... its time to complain about the reposts here!
My list: -No oil cooler thread. -What interior should I get?! -How much did you pay? -Auto vs. Manual again.. -Does a Dinan flash void my warranty? I am sure i missed some.... but i feel like alot of ppl fail to use search or do not know who to search correctly.

Too true! You can't forget all the reviews of the car from everyone who took a test drive lol
What tuning platform is the best? Will (this part) void my warranty?

Amen. Also tired of "135 better than 128" We all make choices based on our personal needs and wants. Last time I check this forum was still 1Addicts, not 135 Addicts. Our 128ers may not be as fast, but not all of us need or want the extra power.

I made a pet-peeve thread, back about 6 months ago: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1887
That's when we were all figuring out what we thought these would cost... |

Now Skippy - having contributed a couple of driving impression threads myself, I take umbrage at that. ; -)
Actually, the first impressions have been helpful - there were a couple of folks who posted drive impressions that really helped re-inforce my decision when I was a bit on the fence. But I've contemplated putting a Warranty sticky up - it would basically say, "Asking anyone other than the seller of the part and BMW NA LLC what the warranty is is U-S-E-L-E-S-S!!" ; -) |

Finally, those threads have been driving me crazy. Why don't people read the threads that are already there before they post one that has been done and done...
Thank you, I feel better. |

If everyone just relied on previous posts, eventually there would be nothing to talk about anymore and the forum would die. Be nice people, and help point newbs in the right direction (even if the question has already been answered). My $0.02

For the most part this group of people is pretty tolerant and very helpful. This thread is just blowing off steam, we got old folks along with noobs opening up redundant threads.

I get annoyed of reposts because I am still pretty new and am learning a lot by reading this forum, and it's annoying when the info is spread over 2 or 3 posts...One thread thats starting to get old is the break in oil change. Hope there are no new break in oil change threads until someone posts after they did theirs and offers tips/advice/DIY.
Heh, BMW 1, Deer 0. I like that...hope it stays that way! |

Between Izzo and Larry, most of the good ones were taken, but here's a few more:
1. Should I get active steering? 2. I put in my order but I don't have a production number! 3. I got my production number but owner's circle has my options all screwed up!!! 4. Anything related to LSD (and not the trippy kind). 5. And finally...enough about the comfort access! Some love it, some hate it, the rest of us eagerly waiting of the opportunity to have an opinion, once we get our cars... Of course, all of this was new to me just a few months ago.

Heh. Great thread idea. I will throw in my two (one was already Larry's old thread).
1. What color should I get? 2. What options should I get? Followed by three pages of responses with "I got ____ because ______." Ultimately capped off with a post from the thread originator saying "Thanks for all the advice but I decided instead to just go with _______." |

This forum is still relatively new and the car just came out a month ago in the USA so I think you will need to be tolerant for a while of n00b questions as there will be a large influx of n00bs. Honestly, you should be happy that the community is so active and developing so quickly, not all new cars see this type of enthusiasm so early.
