Celebration Exotic Car Show Pics!
Just came back from the car show held at Disney's Celebration in Orlando. The show is held every year to help raise money for the Make A Wish Foundation. The whole downtown marketplace was loaded with Ferrarri's, Veyrons, Lambo's, and Lotus'.
Here are some Photos... The Veyron! Enough said here... A Spyker C8! The Spyker C8's first race was the 12 hours of Sebring back in 02 (though it didn't finish by way of nasty accident). This model also participates in the 24 hours of Le Mans and tons of other kick ass endurance races (including the FIA GT races)! Lovely Enzo Ferrari Those names under the trunk lid are those of the men that actually build/and or put this car together... unbelievable! A little fleet of Lotus Elise's The Acura NSX's Models from 91 to the new 05's Contrary to popular belief, this is a 1963- Split window Vette All original with a 327 under the bonnet.. The owner was nice enough to talk to me about his little pride and joy. No show is complete without an all out racing Porsche Jaguar XJ220.. Was supposed to be able to hit 220mph however, after being tested only bested a 217... Which still isn't half bad. This little puppy did hold a record for highest top speed for a production car (217 mph) until the arrival of the beautiful McLaren F1 in 1994! Maserati MC12!! This car entered production in 2004 with a grand total of 30 cars produced. In 2005 25 more were produced. Five of them were not available for sale. Making a total of only 50 cars available, all of which were pre-ordered and sold for over $650,000!! All in all it was a beautiful day and an excellent car show!! Morgen-

The show was awesome, there were literally millions of dollars worth of vehicles all within a couple city blocks. I find it amusing that someone's arguement against getting red on the 1er a while back was that "red is not a fast color". Try telling that to Ferrari and Lamborghini...

Great job, Chewablechain! Nice to see somebody of the fairer gender appreciating these cars, and knowing about them too!! I've yet to see the Bugatti, but have seen all the others before (including the MC12!). Very impressive to see all of them in once gathering though, and in an outdoor venue to boot! You're very lucky!!

They usually hold them at this time every year, it's a three day event. Friday, the 18th is when all the cars come in- Saturday the 19th they hold little award shows and prizes- and on Sunday they all do a "ride out". Everyone starts their engines at once and they all together ride out to the interstate. It's really amazing to see!

Thanks!

I've always appreciated the exotics, but I'm a larger fan of the Classic Muscle Cars (I'm in my element more at those shows).

I'm in the process of fixin' my pics now. The show is always after spring break, usually around mid april.
That was a long day. I was there from 9am to about 5pm or so. Did you stay till the end when they were giving out the awards?? After that is the best part, you get to see them drive all those cars away. I have mucho pics & some videos of all your fav's leaving. There was 3 Veyrons there this year all different color combos. There was 4??? I didn't see the Reventon there, I don't think it was. We got 2nd place in vintage Ferrari. Missed 1st by a half a point. I'm not going to hear the end of this till about award time next year. Thats what happens when you put stuff off till the last minute. At least my father-in-law gave me the trophy for my efforts, that & he didn't want to clutter up his other 1st place awards w/ this 2nd place one. The best part just may be that I was finally allowed to drive the car. Will post back when my pics are done |

There was no Reventon.. we were told that there was going to be one there. Looked everywhere.. to no avail.. Congrats on the win!! Where were you guys at? If it was a vintage Ferrari, I probably have pictures of her.. Ferrari F430 Spider - Just parked along the street.. several blocks out.. Audi A8 W12 - Also parked along the street.. Twelve cyclinder engine!! 444 horses with a potential up to 900 (after modifications).. Such a steal at only $120,100!!

I have over 200 pics; they're almost done. Then get to go through the videos. Will be back later. I tried telling you InsaneSkippy :iono: |

I see me... Sitting down in background, brown shirt.
You want to know some real bs. Two of the other cars in the class were both judges cars; one being the head judges car. Well I know there was a few things that weren't complete with the 275 so it only seems fair. Their cars were immaculate. Anyway, glad you had a good time. Mother-in-law is over now. Will get back to the pics & vids later. I had to get some GT5 Prolouge time in. |

Ok, 128 pics are uploaded, 9 vids uploading now. That took a while. Check them out at
http://s296.photobucket.com/albums/mm189/CelebrationCarShow/2008%20Celebration%20Car%20Show/ Its actually a 275 GTS; '66 I believe. But it may have more similarities to the 330 GTS that you mentioned. I couldn't believe it myself, just about everything on it seemed different from the '65 GTB. |
