He is a good news reader. Announced the scripted content in front of him very well! I learnt a lot about the car too. Lot of optional options which used to be standard to boast that there is no / only a marginal increase in price. I am sold, take my money!

Would love to get a personal interview with the M CEO and ask him the following questions about the G90 M5:

- Why no Full Leather option?
- Why no Non-Leather interior option for those of you who are environmentally conscience?
- Why no Premium Sound System option?
- Why no Soft Close Doors?
- Why no bespoke Sideview Mirror Design for the G90 M5 (it's same exact design from the i5 M60)?
- Why no bespoke launch color for the G90?
- Why no massaging seat functions?
- Why no fender grilles (there's still a little bit of room to design one on the fender even with the electrical plug-in door in the way)?
- Why do the M5 front seat designs look so close to the G80 M3 seats?

I would like to tell the M CEO, that yes these are things M5 customers want. Weight aside, we still care about the other things that make an M5, an M5.

I can deal with the weight and the funky design but no soft close doors!?!?

That’s it! I’m out!

It comes with Bowers and Wilkins standard doesn’t it? Are you asking for a more premium option? B&W as of recent is the premium option for BMW.

The seats look largely the same as they’ve always been to me as are in the F90 and can even get option on the G30 as M Sport Seats or M multifunction seat or something like that. The rest.. who knows.

Nope, the B&W system in the G60/G90 is no where near the same as the B&W in the F90 or the B&O in the F10. The B&O was a 1200watt system. The B&W in the G90 is only like 655watts.

If you look closely the G90 seats look almost idental to the seats in the G80. The F90 seats look more sporty but at the same time far more comfortable than most other seats.

It's ok? Might as well have made it an EV it probably would've been lighter.

To me, the G90 seats look closer to the F90 than the G80.

Comfort aside, I'd rank them G80 > F90 > G90 based on looks alone.

These things are not needed on an M5 they’re just adding more weight and more complexity to what it’s already become a massive over 5000 pound vehicle.. the extra horsepower that this thing is generating is just being consumed by the weight.

The ugly tooth fang 7seven series is what has those items.

The issue I have with this car is not so much the looks but just the weight.. this thing is going to chew roads also through tires. It’s not very sustainable because you’re going to buy so many sets of tires for this thing over lifetime that it’s harming the environment. I thought the whole purpose of going to hybrid was to help with the environment.

This is completely the wrong direction. They should be focusing on lightweight, petrol engines and small lightweight, digital electric motors and small battery packs and reducing the size of the car. They’ve completely completely completely gone in a horrific disastrous direction with this thing and it’s gonna end up in the junkyard with the XM.

What matters also to add..

another issue here is that Bmw board members and so forth approved the budget to invest in the M hybrid system so now peoples jobs are on the line if they can’t figure out how to utilize this system… unfortunately we’re driving cars that are being voted and manipulated at the executive level and they don’t care whether you enjoy driving the car. They just want make sure they don’t lose money and they have a return on their investment..

All the people who were passionate about making Bmw a great company based around racing of all left..

The technology has changed in the audio department... watts don't necessarily mean better performance now a days with better digital processing and efficiencies.

The question is if this system sounds good and in time if they drop an upgrade.
