Expected Battery Life and What Happens After…
Did BMW publish expected battery life and/or the warranty length of the battery, assuming it’s different?
What happens when the batteries can no longer can hold a reasonable charge? How many miles until that happens? Is the entire car junk at that point? While most new owners will likely lease for a few years or buy and replace before this even becomes an issue, will the overall resale value be affected because of this? I guess this issue can be found in any plugin hybrid. |

Not sure about hybrids, but in the USA we have federal law that mandates all new electric cars sold must have a minimum battery warranty for 8 years or 100k miles.
