Expected Battery Life and What Happens After…

Did BMW publish expected battery life and/or the warranty length of the battery, assuming it’s different?

What happens when the batteries can no longer can hold a reasonable charge? How many miles until that happens? Is the entire car junk at that point?

While most new owners will likely lease for a few years or buy and replace before this even becomes an issue, will the overall resale value be affected because of this? I guess this issue can be found in any plugin hybrid.

Not sure about hybrids, but in the USA we have federal law that mandates all new electric cars sold must have a minimum battery warranty for 8 years or 100k miles.
