Car wash recommendation - east bay

Hi all

I have a water stain. I tried diy car wash today at home and unable to remove the stain. My driveway is elevated and my car is always parked in an angle.

Need any recommendations for a good detailing place in east bay, Bay Area

Also looking for a recommendation for car cover for 2024 x5

Appreciate any input

Attaching the pics of the stain right below the rear license plate.

I would try some isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber towel. May need to re-hit it with wax when you're done. Maybe Windex or bug and tar remover.

I have the seal skin car cover. I have been happy with it.

Is this water stain? Have you ever heard of 3D water spot eraser?

If water spots, use vinegar

As far as a cover, I got this one on Amazon and love it.

If you are willing to spend money for a top of the line, high quality cover take a look at the various covers sold by California Car Covers.

I purchased a outdoor cover from them in 2001 for a CLK430 convertible. In 2004 I purchased a CLK500 convertible and the cover still fit perfectly on the newer body.

It was machine washable and held up for 20 years without any quality issues until I sold my CLK500 convertible in 2021 and purchased my Z4.

CCC offers many different materials to select from, they are one of the more expensive car cover manufacturers out there but you really get what you pay for.

By the way, no matter who you purchase the cover from, you don't want it blowing off on a really windy day. Make sure that it has side mirror pockets that really help to hold it in place and purchase clamps along with strong bungee cords which you attach to the bottom of the cover in the the front and rear of the car. You can find the clamps and bungee cords on Amazon.

Iso alcohol is very effective with many stains, especially tree sap. I would start with that. Wash the car after you finish to remove any residue from the alcohol, and then you will need to either wax, or apply a ceramic topper (if your car is ceramic coated).

Hello,

I live in the NW Chicago suburbs, near Buffalo Grove - Does anyone know of a good hand car wash shop in the area? I’ve gone to Lotus Hand Car Wash, the owner is a nice guy and does a good job, but he seems a bit pricey.

Thanks!
