IND | Alpha-N G90 / G99 M5 Carbon Aero Program

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com

Thanks to Alpha-N's close relationships within the industry, they set about delivering a comprehensive "form following function" carbon aero program for the new M5 in the same vein as their recent G8X and G87 components. With their focus on performance and style, and their track record of producing extremely high-quality carbon parts, we're pleased to share the initial G90 / G99 M5 development.

Once again, Alpha-N has assembled a comprehensive aero program aimed at taking BMW's super saloon to the N'th level, enhancing both the model's ultra modern and aggressive styling while continuing to offer functional parts that delivered measurable aerodynamic improvements and weight reduction.

Carbon Vented Hood

Starting at the front of the car, Alpha-N has produced a carbon hood made entirely of pre-preg carbon fiber with integrated skeletal bracing, offering exceptional stability while minimizing weight.

While similar to their G8X M3 / M4 carbon vented hood, the G9X M5 variant uses a new design that features larger and more efficiently positioned air outlets for improved thermal management and aerodynamics, much more similar to BMW Motorsport's M4 GT3.

2-Piece Carbon Front Corner Splitter Set

Anyone familiar with Alpha-N's G87 M2 offerings noticed that a significant effort was made to provide multiple front lip/splitter options that remain functional while catering to different style preferences. Alpha-N's G90 / G99 M5 offerings are following suit with 2 different front splitter sets at launch.

The 2-piece carbon fiber side corner splitter set are much deeper and lower than the factory front bumper corner trim. They extend more aggressively into the center of the bumper, offering a significantly more performance-oriented look to the factory front lip.

3-Piece Carbon Front Splitter Set

Meanwhile, taking things one step further, the 3-piece lip set adds a center chin splitter that works in concert with slightly altered side corner splitters. The full 3-piece set is a comprehensive package that offers a significantly more aggressive and functional styling to your M5's front-end.

Carbon Rear Trunk Spoiler

Much like the multiple front lip / splitter options, Alpha-N has also produced 2 rear spoiler solutions at launch. The first is a traditional carbon trunk spoiler designed to add an aggressive edge to the rear of your M5, catering to those that prefer the add-on look of an exposed carbon trunk spoiler.

Carbon Rear CSL Ducktail Spoiler Skin

For those seeking a bold and unmistakable look, the CSL-style ducktail spoiler provides a dramatic yet cohesive upgrade to the rear profile of the M5. Alpha-N has taken a new approach to bring elegant CSL-styling to the new G90 M5 sedan; they've taken the CSL ducktail design shape and formed it into a trunk spoiler skin meant to be molded onto your OE trunk for a seamless look. The result is the CSL trunk shape and function without the full cost of a complete replacement trunk lid.

V1 Carbon Rear Diffuser

Rounding out the Alpha-N G90 / G99 M5 Carbon Aero Program are another 2 options, this time for the rear diffuser. The V1 carbon rear diffuser for the expands slightly on the original rear diffuser helping to accentuate the existing bodylines and enhances the rear styling with carbon construction.

While Alpha-N ensures all their aerodynamic parts are fully functional, the G9X M5 V1 rear diffuser focuses on function while maintaining the car's elegance.

V2 Carbon Rear Diffuser

Alpha-N's V2 carbon rear diffuser for the is significantly more aggressive and functional vs the more OE-styled V1 piece. Featuring an integrated "underbody floor" designed section around the center of the diffuser, the V2 carbon piece both increases downforce and reduces drag vs the V1 variant.

Alpha-N’s dedication to precision engineering and high-quality materials ensures that each component delivers a combination of aesthetic sophistication and real performance gains. Whether your goal is enhancing your M5's aggression or adding functional elegance, the Alpha-N Carbon Aerodynamics Program allows you to transform your G90 or G99 M5 into a true masterpiece.

Can only imagine long term effects of rain incursion into what looks to be exactly over the dme and coils.

Seen this happen on the jaguar f types due to their engine vents and they are all resulting in seized fuel rails, spark plugs, etc.

I would assume a hood like this would be a show/garage queen piece only. It looks cool, but I can't imagine putting this on a car that would see the elements on a regular basis.

The duck tail overlay/skin - might want to see in person before deciding . I’m sure the execution here is top notch but can be hard to mask the stack height at seams.

I mean- what else is there to say- IND builds make a half decent car swoon worthy.

But damn did anyone peep the prices on aftermarket parts for the G90?!

That's one super mean looking new M5. Simply wish these body bits could reduce the weight of this massive machine by about 1k lbs... !
