Anyone Stuck At the Port?

Car reached the port 11/30 and has been stuck since. Anyone else in the same situation? Is it just because it's around the holidays or is 2+ weeks the norm to get on a boat??

No. Mine arrived in Galveston on Dec 9th and I picked it up on Friday! It is at the shop getting full matte wrap and I’ll pick it up when I get back in town.
I hope nothing happened or got damaged with it because my service advisor said if it sits at the port more than a week than usually something happened and they are fixing or repairing it unless there is a ground stop for a safety hazard recall which there are none anymore that I am aware of.

What date did yours arrive at the port and when did it leave?

Mine has been in QC purgatory since early November. I called Genius, and they've provided zero updates compared to what I get from the app.

I was told the HEA and early cars required a steering fix at the VPC when they arrived. Maybe yours was part of that early batch. Call your dealer and have them reach out to BMWNA to get a direct answer.

Did a little deeper digging. If anyone is in the same situation as me and stuck at port then:

1) Call your SA at the dealership and ask them which port is your final destination.

2) BMW does use a few different shipping companies however most of the time they are using Wallenius for deliveries to the states. Go to Wallenius website and go to schedules. Put in Bremerhaven as your depart and your destination port as your arrival and find the schedule.

This will give you a general idea of the possible vessels your car may be on in the coming days.

According to the table I got no chance in December. Next possible dates are 1/3 and 1/9 departing towards Galveston. Looks like the earliest I will get my hands on it will be mid-Feb. At least this gives me a general idea instead of being completely in the dark.

Mine was at port for the last week or so and just updated to 195 in transit. The BMW Genius was not able to give me a vessel name yet but it would be east coast destination.
