Thumbs up RG Sport - RaceChip GTS5 Black for G90 M5

News from RaceChip Germany for you fellow G90 M5 owners and future owners.

Beginning of November, right after SEMA 2024, RaceChip Germany got a hold of the new BMW G90 M5 in their HQ.
With no time wasted, they started to work on this BMW S68 V8 TwinTurbo Hybrid motor.
After some R&D and thorough testing, RaceChip able to squeeze more hp and torque to this heaviest M5 in the history.

Here are their dyno results.

Stock / Baseline - 621whp / 757 ft.lbs of torque
RaceChip GTS5 Black Map 7 - 712whp / 853 ft.lbs of torque

A delta of 91whp and 96 ft.lbs of torque.

Currently it is available to purchase in the US (Exclusively through RG Sport) with EU spec maps.
I do need a local G90 M5 to see and test if there is additional hp that we can pull out from non OPF equipped US specs.

Yeah to cut 100-200 kn/h by 0.7 of a second for just 700 Euros is a no brainer.

Only downside it will definitely void the warranty

I’m not sure an intake vs a tune would be equal levels of warranty scrutiny. I have never had a problem with warranty on a car with an aftermarket exhaust (catback only) or intake. I have 100% had warranty work denied because of a tune.

I had service work denied because of a Brembo kit. lol.
At the end of day, it is depending on the dealership.
I know that some east coast dealers even installing full cat-less downpipe.

Yeah right, would be nice to see what the EV motor is doing on the dyno Torque and HP.

What about the TQ limit on the transmission?
Heard people saying BMW tuned down the g90/99 otherwise the transmission won’t keep up with the TQ.

obviously but you could take those off easily beforehand, and if a stock car with an intake or exhaust blows a motor, it’s 99% the drivers fault lol

“Shady” dealerships and techs make no money is what you mean… warranty work only pays what the OEM books the time at and what the parts cost… if it’s out of warranty they can bill the customer more time and charge parts at a higher rate. Aka.. screwing the customer. Just like the US health insurance system….

So this thread is claiming 621 whp stock.
The other thread claimed 678 whp stock and people ended up +800 hp crank!
Looks like 717 hp crank is not too far away real. Maybe 730-750?

So for everyone confused about the dyno numbers, the baseline numbers of every dyno can read different. The most important thing is the delta/gains. Dyno’s are just a tool of measurement and can be configured to read a various amount of ways. The most accurate way to test the gains is on the street which is what Racechip did to so the real world gains.
