G90 M5 Gains 69whp & 59wtq With Dähler Performance Module
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com We finally got the G90 M5 on the dyno with a Dähler performance module. I’m assuming it’s on 93 octane, but we have baseline numbers to compare to the stock map on the same dyno! This M5 with the performance module put down: 747whp at 5,890rpm 782whp at 3,050rpm Making gains of 69whp and 59wtq from the baseline map. Thoughts?

I wonder if it's the same turbo as the X5/X6 M.

Explain please?
I do not track day the car, and never felt “underpowered” with the steel compound brakes on my M6. I still have the chance to alter my order (steel brakes now), but are open to be convinced to change to CC. I haven’t seen a comparison yet, or a real convincing case for the CC, so: convince me. |

Like you, I’ll never track my car and I won’t launch it either. I tend to drive quickly on Motorways but am inclined to anticipate speed changes, and take my foot off the gas, rather than use the brakes. Occasionally, when on a decent back road, I drive in a ‘spirited’ fashion but not to the extent that I need to mash the brakes repeatedly. I trust that BMW have appropriately equipped the vehicle to cope with such use and offer upgraded brakes to those planning to cane it regularly. CCBs are very costly day 1 and servicing of them (pads & discs) are equaly expensive all over again. I have also heard they can be noisy but some complain about that on regular brakes too so not sure on that front. In the end, it’s a personal choice.
