Insurance

For those who have taken delivery, what are you seeing in terms of premiums whether 6 months or a year?

42 yrs old, married, I currently have Geico (auto only) - zero at faults - one claim (someone ran a red and t-boned my rs6 two years ago. Didn't get totaled but repairs were about $55k. Geico was made whole through subrogation).

Deductibles are $500 comprehensive and $1000 collision. From the breakdown, it looks like the bulk of it is coming from collision - over $1700.

Geico is quoting $3200/6 months in NJ.

I assume you're not in the city. I have mostly the same coverages, with GEICO, at a cost of about $1600 for 6 months.) I have higher deductibles ($1k for Comprehensive and Collision), but have added Mechanical Breakdown coverage (basically covers off major repairs once I get past the 3 year mark, at a lower cost than BMW's extended service plans- it's the only reason I have stuck with GEICO).

I can definitely ask him if you really want me to. I have home and auto.

EDIT: just asked my broker and he's only licensed in Pa and non coastal areas of NJ.

Yes, northern burbs. Been using Allstate forever. Our agent said this is a new product that has great pricing with drivers with no claims which we've never had. It's the exact same policy we had and the quote was about 50% less than the old policy.

Man, I'm 40 with zero claims/tickets and am paying $2600/6 mos for my F80 M3 and X5 here on LI.

I don't get how they get these numbers sometimes. Unless my wife has a stack of hidden speeding tickets she neglected to tell me about.

I spent some time the last week getting quotes.
My cars:
- 25 m5 - leased
- 23 F150 Raptor 37 - owned
- 23 Bronco Raptor - owned
- 22 Macan GTS - leased

Progressive wanted $5k/6 months
Allstate is via agent who took my info but never called me back.
State Farm was the same.
Amica - $6000/6 months
Geico (my existing carrier) - $4900/6 months

Pure Insurance who I have my home, umbrella, and personal items came back with the best price.
Pros: agreed value, GAP included, loaner value is equal or better than covered car. Cons: still expensive and a little slow in getting the info I need. They are offering $8k/year.
