Took delivery of Marina Bay Blue G90 M5!

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
I know, I was pretty critical of the m5 once revealed but as a car guy I couldn’t ignore the obvious- it’s a new m5!

I test drove one last Saturday and reached out to my buddy at park ave to pick the one I wanted. Marina bay blue with carbon package. The car as a whole is very impressive and it’s stupid fast. Not fast like my McLaren but it still puts a smile on my face. It’s far more comfortable than my old f90 but the interior quality is a huge let down compared to my 2022 Cayenne turbo coupe which to be fair the msrp on that is over 200k

I have it next to my 750s spider which is like other worldly in terms of speed and handling. I’m lucky to drive both!

Two beauties! I got my first M (X3MC) a couple months ago and am hooked so I am already dreaming up my next one and the M5 is all I keep going back to. Love the color. Sorry to hear about the interior. I’m likely two models before I am ready to buy but I do find the interior of the new M5 too much for me sensory wise and thus a bit distracting.

None the less a great looking ride and a blast to drive as you said. And I don’t have a McLaren to compare to.

She’s stunning. I’ve always wondered if owning two high-performance cars would make the “lesser” one feel less exciting. How do you still appreciate the G90 when you also have a McLaren? This gives me hope. lol.

I appreciate what each car offers over the other. M5 is fast, comfortable, and can take the whole family. The McLaren is just silly speed and with the top down it’s bliss

Wheels for now. I think the market isn’t mature enough for exhausts yet.

I don’t think of it as lesser but different. When I had my f90 m5 I picked up a base 992.1 carrera and I found the 911 a lot more fun to drive even though the 911 was technically slower.

I don’t get people who says it’s stupid fast (especially former F90 owners) when the F90 is faster….?

Honest question…..

G90 not only feels faster, it really is faster because of the instant EV pickup and rolling races illustrate this well. From a dig it's similar to any other stock AWD F90 / G8X.

Ok ok....we get it...you have a McLaren. Congrats. You could have demonstrated that with a single pic. You should have took shots of the M5 where we all can see it up close. We've all seen a million McLarens....the M5 needs to be seen close up especially in this color.
