My 2025 Frozen Deep Grey M5

I know I know. Frozen sucks. Get an individual color. Get CCBs. I understand all of that But it's mine and I am really digging this car. Could be my all time favorite and only picked up yesterday

Some cheap pics.

Congrats on the new ride!! First time going frozen? I’ve got it ordered on my G99, but I’m getting some serious cold feet on the color. I always hand wash my own cars, but metallic paint with a little PPF/ceramic is such a breeze to clean. I went and test drove a G90 just like yours, and really think FDG looks great on this car though. Tough decisions and real first world problems here

Tyty. This is my 3rd frozen. I had a fdg '24 i5 m60 that I xpel stealthed wrapped (no hydrophobic properties) and not only did I think it took away from the frozen paint's depthness, make it look a bit brown in certain lighting (maybe my eyes...) but dirty rain water wanted to hang on and make the ride look like crap.

Fast forward a bit and I bought a fpg '25 i4 m50 that I DIDNT wrap or ceramic and was pleasantly surprised how the road/rain water DIDNT hang on nearly as badly. It also felt easier to wash and dry without the stealth ppf.

After 4ish months in the i4 m50 I did end up w several minor chips but nobody cares about our rides' paint; only we care. so I decided to forgo the stealth on this one, saving 9k and roll dice on how I'll feel when this gets chips. I found one already and I'm already at peace with it

Appreciate the insight! My FDG is currently at the port waiting for assignment. Like you, I wash my cars the same and I was worried about the PPF. I might go with the front bumper and leave the rest with a ceramic coat. Looks great, enjoy it!

Your car looks great! You ordered what you want and no need to explain your actions to anyone. Enjoy your new beast.

I agree Frozen Deep Grey (just like Isle of Man Green) dont look that good in pictures. I ordered mine in FDG and was skeptical about the color but I like satin dark colors. When the car arrived and saw it in person, I was really happy whith my choice. Gonna wrap it in Stek PPF, had it on my previuos car dont change the depth of the color and has hydrophobic properties as a plus. Nice color and enjoy your M5.

Ty. I'm going contact Xpel and ask if their stealth line offers hydrophobic protection. I plan to keep this a long time and feel like I may regret not wrapping it. The struggle is real

Congrats, love the color. Have it on my F90. It’s much better in person, pics don’t do it justice.

I can confirm you Xpel stealth ppf does have hydrophobic vertues but not on a level with a gloss xpel and ceramic coat …grime still does cling to it faster ….

Frozen is nice but if it's not a PPF then i would be overly worried something happen to it... Fits this car particularly well i'd say for having seen one in the flesh.
